Privacy Policy
Effective 6 October 2026
The short version. Danfo Rush keeps your game progress on your own device. We only collect what we need to run the online parts: your email if you choose to join the early-access list, and your driver name and scores if you post to the leaderboard. We don't sell your information, we don't run third-party ads, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Who we are
Danfo Rush and danforush.com are operated by Montorox LLC, 2312 1st St NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA ("Montorox", "we", "us"). Montorox is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us at [email protected] for anything about privacy.
This policy covers the Danfo Rush game on the web, iOS and Android, and the danforush.com website (together, the "Service").
What we collect and why
| Information | When | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, sign-up date, the page or campaign you came from, and your country (worked out from your IP address; we don't store the IP itself) | Only if you join the early-access list | To send launch news and your Founders reward, and to understand where interest comes from. Basis: your consent. |
| Driver name you choose, score, distance, passengers delivered, route, platform, game version, a random player ID and the run's seed | When a run is posted to the leaderboard | To show the leaderboard, rank runs and spot cheating. Basis: providing the feature you use; our legitimate interest in a fair leaderboard. |
| Technical data: IP address, browser or device type, pages requested, time of request | When you visit the site or the game contacts our servers | To deliver the Service, keep it secure and stop abuse. Handled by our hosting provider and kept briefly. Basis: legitimate interest in a secure, working Service. |
| Messages you send us | When you email us | To reply and help you. |
What stays on your device
Your progress, coins, missions, streak, garage items, settings and radio volume are stored locally on your device or in your browser's storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing the app's data or your browser storage removes them.
Photos and sharing
If you tap Share or Save on a results card, the image is created on your device and handed to your phone's share sheet or photo library. We don't receive it. Your device may ask for permission to save to your photos; you can say no.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We don't show third-party ads. Billboards and brands in the game are fictional.
- We don't use advertising cookies, advertising IDs or tracking pixels.
- We don't ask for your location, contacts, camera or microphone.
Cookies and similar technology
The website doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies. The game uses your browser's local storage to save progress on your device. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies for security, such as bot protection.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process information for us under contract:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website and game hosting, database, security and email forwarding.
- Google LLC (Gmail): receives the emails you send to [email protected].
- Apple and Google: when you download the apps, the App Store and Google Play handle downloads and any purchases under their own privacy policies.
- An email delivery provider, if we use one to send launch emails.
Your driver name and scores are public on the leaderboard. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy keeps applying).
How long we keep it
- Early-access list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until two years after the Service launches if we stop using the list, whichever comes first.
- Leaderboard entries: for as long as the leaderboard runs, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Technical logs: a short period, typically days to weeks, as set by our hosting provider.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to stop using it, by emailing [email protected]. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. If you posted scores, tell us your driver name and roughly when you played so we can find them. We'll answer within 30 days, sooner where we can, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.
- European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland: you have the rights above under the GDPR, plus the right to object and to complain to your data protection authority.
- Nigeria: you have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, including access, correction, deletion and withdrawing consent, and you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
- California and other US states: you may request access to, correction or deletion of your information. We don't sell or share personal information and we don't use sensitive personal information.
Children
Danfo Rush is a game for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent where you live). Children shouldn't join the email list or use their real names on the leaderboard. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
International transfers
We're based in the United States and our providers operate worldwide, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable infrastructure to protect information. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to collect as little as we can.
Changes
We'll update this policy as Danfo Rush grows. Examples include adding crash reports, analytics, accounts or in-app purchases. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll give notice on the site or in the game before they take effect.
